NHL 10 Video Game Review

NHL 10 is the latest release of hockey sports simulation by EA Sports. The game is available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game has been available since September 15th, 2009. It is made by the same company that made NHL ’09. That game won twelve sports game awards. Although there is not much change from its predecessor, NHL 10 has some new game modes and better playing accommodations.

NHL 10 is still about the simulation of playing hockey in the NHL, the minors, on All Star teams or representing your country. You can create a team or play as a draft-pick on a team. As a draft-pick, you can try to work your way up and earn a spot on the team. If you get tired on playing on your own, you can always join an online league.

The fast-paced, action-packed game keeps you wanting to play over and over again. The crowd noises and broadcasters trick you into believing that you are part of the game. You can pick different skill levels so it is always challenging and fun to try and improve. NHL 10 is an amazing game for groups to play. The many multiplayer game modes keep everybody involved. The game physics and the graphics have improved since the last version. The game goals like unlocking special jerseys to new helmets encourage you to keep going.

One of the things that is not so great about NHL 10 is the hitting. When a player checks another player it doesn’t always have the same force that it would in a real game. Players look like they have been given a small shove instead of a forceful hit. Also, for most people the GM mode is hard to go through a whole season. It is too time-consuming for anyone who is not a hard-core gamer. Overall it is a great game and well-worth playing if you are a hockey fan.
